How to return your items on loan
- In person to the Philson Library (recommended). Books from any University of Auckland Library may be returned to Philson.
- Via the internal mail system. Allow at least one day for internal mail to reach the library.
Return your items on time to avoid blocks
- Return items by the due date or time to avoid suspension of borrowing privileges.
- Check your email regularly for notices. Please contact us if you have any queries about notices.
- If you are away for an extended period, e.g. holidays or clinical placements, check your email regularly and make arrangements to get items back on time.
- An item remains your responsibility until the library has discharged it from your record. If the item becomes lost or overdue in transit, your borrowing privileges may be suspended. Never lend items you have borrowed to anyone else. If they lose them or return them late, you are responsible.
How to check when your loans are due back
- Due dates are emailed to you, or a receipt is printed when you use the Self-Issue machine.
- Check the new due date when the library sends you a Due date change notice.
- Use My Library Account to check when your items are due back.
