Borrowing blocks

What is a block?

A block is a suspension of your library account. You won't be able to borrow or request items until the block is lifted.

Why you may be blocked

You will be blocked if you exceed any of the following limits:

• One or more overdue recalled items from any library.
• Your Campus Card (ID) has a status of expired, lost or stolen.
• You have borrowed more than 100 items. This is the maximum number of items you are allowed to borrow.

Your number of loans is calculated across all libraries from which items are borrowed including Interlibrary Loan items.

How to remove your block

• Return overdue items.
• If you cannot find your items, report them missing using Ask us.
• Return some of your items on loan to get under your borrowing limit.
